Streets of London Cafe

During Christmas service last week, pastor told the amazing story of how one of our church members, a chef, battled and won cancer by the power of prayer and the grace of God. It turns out the chef was the owner of Streets of London, a cafe situated at Bukit Merah Central. I recognised him immediately, having seen his feature in 8 Days magazine.

So since we didn't have any idea where to go for dinner that night, the hubby suggested that we visit his cafe since it was so near our place.

The decor was a bit too enthu about London I thought *laughs*

We had no idea what to order so we ordered whatever sounded good on the menu. That included a mushroom soup for my girl and fried chicken wings.

Although the mushroom soup was very ordinary and probably not worth ordering again, the chicken wings were crispy and marinated just right. My girl especially liked the adorning pieces of sliced oranges on the accompanying salad, which was a nice complement to the chicken.

For our mains, the hubby and I ordered grilled pork chop and chicken steak, which I totally forgot the name of but had a big "chef's recommendation" next to it.

Have no idea what this is called but maybe show the waiter this photo and they would know? *laughs*

It was delicious! The pork was marinated well and cooked just enough without being too dry while the chicken was juicy and went well with the sauce. We both enjoyed it =)

The price was very reasonable too, about $10 per main dish and they do not have service charge or GST. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! =)

Streets of London is located at Blk 161 Bukit Merah Central, #01-3725, Singapore 150161
