Family Self Portraits at Clickz Studio

Two daddies, two mummies, two babies, one preschooler, one photo shoot. Sounds like a recipe for disaster? Read on to find out..

We were invited to check out Clickz Studio, which is a self portrait studio located at Far East Plaza.

Clickz Studio at Far East Plaza #05-05

There are two studios available: Studio 5 (can accommodate up to 15 persons) & Studio One (a smaller one that is catered to half body shots and close ups). We tried out the former first.

What a cute welcome! =)
Left: Corners that you can sit and rest and be out of the shot
Right: Girl with the welcome ducks (taken with my hand phone camera
Left: Rack of props and costumes for you to choose from (they update this pretty regularly)
Right: The camera and screen mounted on the wall (please do not touch!)

And just like our first photo shoot, of course the hubby insisted that all of us were dressed in his favourite blue jerseys.

I joined in the fun and put on his other jersey as well (yes, he has two!)
The daddy has been waiting for 5 years to be able to take the photo on the left with his boy.
I love the photo on the right because it's the kind of crazy in my house everyday.

Our friends arrived 10 minutes later to join in the fun! With two families, you can take a variety of photos in different combinations =)

Everyone!
(Blues vs Reds!)
Babies only.
(Can you believe that these two are born exactly 7 days apart?)
Each family
Daddies and babies
(So colour coordinated!)
Mummies only
Girls vs Boys
This looks like a Coke advertisement.. *laughs*

All the props (except for the 2 yellow bumbo seats) were provided by Clickz Studio. You are free to bring your own props too if you like.

As I wanted a greater variety in the photos (and I really didn't want to wear the jersey for the whole shoot) and there isn't a changing room, I brought the jerseys to wear on top of our clothes (at least for Baby Boy and I). My girl and the hubby preferred to change from one outfit to the other, which you can also choose to do so by chasing everyone else out of the studio and drawing the curtains =P

Honestly, I was very worried that my girl was going to tear the studio apart. Thank goodness she was generally well-behaved. We were really noisy though, with me calling out instructions and shouting at my girl to "come here! Don't touch that!" (-_-")

After just 30 minutes, we were exhausted and almost did not have the energy to try out Studio One! But thankfully we did because I loved the close-up shots of me and Baby Boy! =)

(the left one would have been a perfect shot if not for daddy's hand!)
Daddy has to spoil the shots again by not looking into the camera.. *grrr*

If you're alone and just want to take some professional shots for your resume or portfolio, Studio One would be perfect for you =)

This could pass off as my resume photo (for application as a professional babysitter or nanny), don't you think? =P

You can take as many photos as is required to capture the perfect shot because there is no limit to the number of photos taken! =)

What I also love about Clickz Studio is the quality of the photos and the freedom that we were given to let our creativity run wild! All the photos featured here were only edited for brightness and cropped. I did not have to do much to enhance them. We also got to keep ALL the soft copies, which are burned onto a CD, at no additional charge! Having to pay a few hundred dollars for soft copies of our photo shoots previously, I was beyond thrilled to get to keep all of them for free! =)

Prices start from $12 per person and varies depending on the Studio and number of people involved (see the price list for more information). Children under 2 years old are not charged so it could cost as low as $36 for a pair of parents with their baby for a 30-minute session at Studio 5!

There is a promotion of 20% discount on all sessions if:
1) you book before 31 May 2014 (opening promo)
2) it's your birthday (just show your IC to prove it)
3) if your session is on a weekday before 4pm

Plus in celebration of Mother's Day, Clickz Studio will throw in a free family tree wall sticker for all sessions held before 11 May! =)

Loyal customers will also get rewarded with a free session for every 5 stamps collected (1 stamp for every 30 minute session)

To make an appointment, simply give them a call at 6737 1505 or email them at info@clickzstudio.com.
