Hubby gave me the green light for another self-care trip with my Disney Twin (our first was Orlando in 2023)! 😄 My first choice was the OG Disneyland but it's too far so we settled for Shanghai Disneyland since she has not visited and I can be her translator! 😄 We spotted a good deal for Singapore Airlines and booked our return tickets to Shanghai at just S$504 per adult (inclusive of standard seat selection at S$18.40 per way)! 🥳🎉
We agreed to meet at Changi Airport Terminal 3 at 7.45am to check in. It was our first time flying together as we flew separately for our last trip.

After a smooth 5-hour flight, we arrived at Pudong International Airport Terminal 2 at 2.30pm (no time difference between Singapore & China).

As it was China's off-peak travel season, the queue for immigration was relatively short. Once we have collected our luggage, we stopped at a Lawson convenience store to stock up on bread and other essentials in preparation for Disneyland the next day.
When we were ready, we headed to the ride-hailing pick up area and hailed a DiDi (CN¥62.50) to our first accommodation.

The journey was only 15-20 minutes and we soon arrived at Toy Story Hotel!

The biggest benefit of staying at the Disney Hotels was the 1-hour priority entry to the park through a Designated Access for hotel guests! The hotel staff helped us to link our hotel booking to our tickets in our Shanghai Disney Resort app so that we can generate a QR code, which will be scanned at the Designated Access.

Our super cute Toy Story themed room key cards! Like most Disney Hotels (e.g. Tokyo Disneyland Hotel), we got to keep the cards as souvenirs after we have checked out. |
As we were heading to our rooms, we heard the announcement that there would be a meet-and-greet with Toy Story characters at the lobby! Of course we had to join the queue!
The opportunity to meet various Disney characters was definitely another benefit of staying at the Disney hotels! 🤩😍
We made our way to our Garden View Standard Room (Double Beds), which we booked via the Shanghai Disney Resort app at $245 per room per night.

Super colourful carpet! Listen out for the very 'Toy Story' announcement in the lift! 🤩 |

| Super cute cups! |

| Gotta love the pretty colours in the room and the cool bedroom slippers |

Another benefit of staying at the Disney Hotels was the complimentary Disney Resort Shuttle service, which we took to Disney Town to explore the shops.

Even though it was raining, the temperature was about 10°C; very manageable in my opinion! 😁
We explored the whole Disney Town looking for a restaurant for dinner. The rainy weather was perfect for hotpot so we decided on Cou Cou 湊湊!

The total cost of our meal was CN¥277, approximately S$51! Super affordable!

We headed back to the hotel after spending some time exploring Disney Town. It did not stop raining the whole day, from the time we landed in Shanghai until we returned to the hotel at night! I said a quick prayer to thank God that it was not park day for us that day! It would have been a major disappointment! 😅
We went to bed early so that we can wake up early the next day!
